Performer Biography

Polina Davydov

Polina Davydov (mezzo-soprano) is a junior at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Dr. Mary Schiller. At CIM, Polina’s credits include the Enfant in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Diane in Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie, and Olga in CIM’s Spring scenes production of Eugene Onegin.

Professional credits include ensemble work in La Bohème (Cleveland Opera), Le Nozze di Figaro (Tacoma Opera), Noyes Fludde (LA Opera), as well as the role of The Princess in Dargomyzhky’s Rusalka with the Russian Opera Workshop. Last fall, Polina placed first in her division at the NATS competition.

Ms. Davydov has had the privilege of singing in master classes for Florence Quivar (Academy of Vocal Arts), Craig Terry (Chicago Lyric), and David Aaronson (Wiener Staatsoper). She will next be heard at the end of October as the lead in CIM’s production of The Juniper Tree, a contemporary opera by Phillip Glass and Robert Moran.
