Performer Biography

Peter Arfsten

Flutist, Peter Arfsten, completed his BM at The Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens and is MM at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He completed his GPD at Peabody Institute in the studio of Marina Piccinini in May 2020. Mr. Arfsten is also a recipient of the Clinton Lee Arrowood Prize in Flute for outstanding academic achievement. He is a member of The Greenwich Symphony, The Cleveland Opera Theater Orchestra, and in March 2019, Mr. Arfsten won the piccolo chair of the Mansfield Symphony. In his spare time, Mr. Arfsten enjoys percolating coffee, rereading works by J.R.R. Tolkien, and researching and performing obscure flute works.
