Performer Biography
Max Cook
Max Cook (tenor) is from Ashland, Virginia, and has just completed his 3rd year at Oberlin College and Conservatory where he will earn a Bachelor of Music for Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts for Politics and Law & Society.
He has performed the roles of Tony and Don Curzio in Tribute to Leonard Bernstein (2018) and Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (2017) with Oberlin Opera Theater; Raull de St. Brioche in Lehár’s The Merry Widow (2018) with Opera NEO; and Valletto in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (2016) with Oberlin in Italy.
This summer, he will appear as Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro at Miami Music Festival; and this autumn he will appear as Flute in Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with Oberlin Opera Theater.
