Gastón Frydman

Born in Argentina in 1996, Gastón Frydman studied piano with Edda María Sangrígoli, Pía Sebastiani, and Dr. Prigollini, as well as music analysis with Guillermo Scarabino. Also, he was a collaborative pianist at the Teatro Colón Superior Arts Institute.

In 2018, after Sergei Babayan’s invitation and being the recipient of the Georg & Ferdinand Porak Scholarship awarded by the Mozarteum Argentino, he started his piano performance and music theory studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the class of Antonio Pompa-Baldi.

He also had masterclasses with Sergei Babayan, Nelson Goerner, Alessio Bax, Bruno Gelber, Arie Vardi, Dina Yoffe, Julian Martin, Douglas Humpherys, Naum Grubert, Milana Chernyavska, Roustem Saitkoulov, and Emmanuel Pahud.

As a prize winner of many national and international competitions, he gave piano solo and chamber music recitals in the most important halls of Argentina (Teatro Colón, CCK, Usina del Arte, Templo Amijai, Teatro San Martín de Tucuman, Teatro Municipal de Santa Fe), as well as in other important halls in USA, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Uruguay, Perú and Paraguay. Frydman performances have been repeatedly distinguished between the greatest concerts of the season by the Argentinian Critics Association.

He made his debut as a soloist with orchestra performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 at the Teatro Colón, and the great success of the performance led to numerous appearances as a soloist all over the continent. Future appearances include performances with Buenos Aires Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, Montevideo Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Congress of Ascunción, National Youth Symphony of Perú, Mozarteum Orchestra of La Habana, and Guayaquil Symphonic Orquestra, among others.
