Performer Biography
Catherina Carrington
Catherina Carrington (soprano) is a third-year Bachelor of Music student at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Professor Dina Kuznetsova. Carrington recently performed Morgana from Handel’s Alcina in fall 2023 at CIM. She performed her first full role as La Fée in CIM’s 2022 fall semester production of Cendrillon and continued as a principal role in the spring 2023 production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites as Constance. Carrington was recently awarded an honorable mention at Miami Frost School of Music’s Mirabell Competition in Salzburg, first prize at Ohio NATS 2022, and as a winner of Young Arts 2022. She was a part of CIM’s Opera Scene program in 2022 and 2023 playing Adele in Die Fledermaus, Amy in Little Women, and Mademoiselle Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor.
