Performer Biography
A versatile, genre-crossing multi-instrumentalist based in Northeast Ohio, Caitlin Hedge is an award-winning Celtic and bluegrass fiddler, baroque violinist and violist d’amore, orchestra violist, and singer-songwriter and guitarist. As a Young Artist Apprentice with Grammy-winning Baroque orchestra Apollo’s Fire, she will be a featured soloist in their Countryside Concert series ‘The Road to Dublin’ in July 2022. Featured on over 20 recordings of varying musical genres, her most recent album with Scottish historical performance band Makaris will be released in the summer of 2022, and her debut solo album is expected in 2023. Ms. Hedge performs with Youngstown Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, Butler County Symphony, Ashland Symphony, Mansfield Symphony, and Opera Western Reserve, and has shared stages with Celtic Woman, Michael Bublé, Evanescence, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She holds degrees in music performance from Youngstown State University and Baldwin Wallace University, and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University in Historical Performance Practice, studying baroque violin with Julie Andrijeski and voice with Ellen Hargis. She has served on faculty at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music, teaching viola and chamber music, and is a current member of the Dana Faculty Ensemble.
