Performer Biography

Alan Rendzak, baritone, hails from Cape May, New Jersey, and is a fourth-year student at Oberlin Conservatory. While there, Alan has been studying under the direction of acclaimed voice professor, Salvatore Champagne. Alan has performed in several operas at Oberlin and abroad. Roles at Oberlin include Don Parmenione in Rossini’s L’occasione fa il ladro, Conte Robinsone in Cimerosa’s Il Matrimonio Segreto, and most recently, the Vicar in Britten’s Albert Herring. Alan also portrayed Conte Almaviva in Prague Summer Night’s production of Le nozze di Figaro. Last Spring, Alan was fortunate enough to workshop the part of Gene in a new operatic work by Stephen Hartke titled Rhino! In addition to operas, Alan has performed in concerts and master classes for the likes of Jake Heggie, Martin Katz, Graham Johnson, and Lydia Brown.
