Performer Biography
Edouard Beyens is a percussionist pursuing a Professional Studies Certificate at The Colburn Conservatory of Music, studying with Ted Atkatz. He began his musical studies at the age four in his hometown of Clermont-Ferrand, France, before moving to Arizona. Prior to attending The Colburn School, Edouard received both a Bachelors and Masters in music, studying with Shaun Tilburg and J.B Smith, at Arizona State University. Edouard has performed with professional orchestras around the world including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, St Louis Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic, Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Colorado Music Festival orchestra, Arizona Music Festival orchestra, and the Opera Theater of St Louis. While playing with these orchestras he has been conducted by notable conductors such as Stéphane Denève, Peter Oundjian, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Valery Gergiev, Tito Muñoz, and Mark Wigglesworth.
