Jean Furman, soprano, is a Master’s degree student at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the Overlap Program, studying with Dr. Mary Schiller. She is a 1st place winner of multiple international competitions, as well as NATS, and has performed at Carnegie Hall. Furman sang in the ensemble of Lizzie Borden with Boston Lyric Opera in 2013 and Frasquita in Carmen with Commonwealth Lyric Theater in 2019. Recently, she performed the lead in The Juniper Tree in 2019 and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte in 2020. She has also executed major roles in Le nozze di Figaro, West Side Story, and Pirates of Penzance.
