Pianist Mio Arai has worked with a wide range of instrumentalists, singers, choirs, orchestras, and various other ensembles, as well as appearing as a soloist. She recently appeared as a piano soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra in Colorado with music director Carl Topilow conducting Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. She has performed as the pianist with The Cleveland Orchestra Choruses, the National Repertory Orchestra, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, the Canton Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra Chorus. Ms. Arai has been a substitute keyboardist of New World Symphony in Miami since 2018. This summer, she participated in the Music Academy of the West as an instrumental collaborative pianist. Ms. Arai holds a Bachelor of Music from the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Japan, a Professional Studies Diploma in Collaborative Piano from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Cleveland State University where she studied with Joela Jones. She is currently working as a collaborative pianist for Cleveland State University.
