Biography: Sarah Ha

Pianist Hyo-Kyung Sarah Ha made her solo debut at age 14 in the ‘Young Musicians’ Concert’ in Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. Since then, Ms. Ha has appeared in numerous venues, such as Jordan Hall in Boston, major concert halls in Korea, Manaus Opera House in Brazil, Alexander Girardi Hall in Italy, and Salle Cortot in Paris. Ms. Ha is the prizewinner of the 4th New York Music Competition and the Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition. She has participated in numerous festivals, such as the Piano Summer at New PaltzFestival, Juilliard Summer Program in South Korea, Classics Abroad Paris Piano Program, as well as Dino Ciani Festival in Italy. She has participated in piano master classes with renowned pianist and pedagogues, such as Leon Fleisher, Jean-Francois Antonioli, and Zhe Tang.

A native of South Korea, Ms. Ha began her piano studies at age four. She attended Pre-College Division program at the Juilliard School and the Korean National University of Arts to further her pursuit of music. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at New England Conservatory, Masters degree at the Juilliard School, and Graduate Performance Diploma at the Peabody Institute. Her teachers include Daejin Kim, Alexander Korsantia, Julian Martin, and Alexander Shtarkman. In 2015, Ms. Ha earned her Artist Diploma degree at Cleveland Institute of Music, where she is currently pursuing Doctor of Musical Arts degree under the tutelage of HaeSun Paik.
