Violinist Jeanelle Brierley began her studies at the age of 5 in southeastern Arizona, and has been actively pursuing a career in music for many years. Ms. Brierley has performed as concertmaster of the Phoenix Youth Symphony, the college and high school orchestras of the Brevard Music Center, the Arizona Allstate Orchestra, and the Lexington Bach Festival, among others. She made her solo debut at the age of 16 performing with the Phoenix Symphony. Ms. Brierley was a finalist in the 2011 Music Teachers National Association Competition and is a three-time winner of the Arizona MTNA state competition. Recipient of the Otranto Prize from the Phoenix Symphony Guild Concerto Competition, Ms. Brierley also won the 2011 Brevard Music Center concerto competition, appearing as a soloist with the festival orchestra. In addition to her endeavors in classical music, Ms. Brierley enjoys performing, recording, and presenting community benefit concerts with a folk band. Her teachers have included Susanne Rothaar, Paul Kantor and the Cleveland Orchestra Concertmaster, William Preucil, with whom she currently studies as a sophomore at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
