Audiences were treated to a delightful afternoon of music in a glorious garden setting, where classical favorites and beloved popular works came together in an engaging and varied program. Highlights included Rameau’s La Poule for solo piano, Couperin’s Les Barricades mystérieuses arranged for piano trio, Gershwin’s Preludes for violin and piano, Ella Fitzgerald’s signature rendition of Dream a Little Dream of Me arranged for violin, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Some Enchanted Evening, Moss’ The Floral Dance, and Debussy’s En Bateau from Petite Suite for piano four hands. The program also featured movements from Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet, Amy Beach’s Piano Trio, Op. 150, and Claude Bolling’s celebrated suites for cello and jazz piano trio and for flute and jazz piano trio, creating an afternoon of memorable performances in a beautiful outdoor atmosphere.
