Meeyoun Park, a native of Seoul, Korea is a graduate of Yonsei University in Seoul where she earned a degree in Piano performance. She has performed throughout the US and Korea as both soloist and collaborative pianist. Her musical versatility has involved her in work with both the Korean National Opera Company, and collaboration as vocal accompanist with renowned singers at Indiana University such as Virginia Zeani, Paul Kiesgen, Carol Vaness, Carlos Montane and Alice Hopper.
She has worked extensively for the Indiana University Opera Theatre as a vocal coach and rehearsal accompanist for numerous productions from 1997 to 1999 and has served as Associate Instructor of piano from 2001 to 2004. From 2005 to 2006, she served as a staff accompanist at DePauw University. Meeyoun has also participated in masterclasses with some of world’s finest performers including Andre Watts and Alicia de Larrocha. She has completed her Master’s of Music degree, Performer’s Diploma, and Doctoral degree in piano performance under the guidance of Karen Shaw at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She is currently working as a staff accompanist at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
