Biography: Mary Vanhoozer, Pianist

Mary Vanhoozer is a second year doctorate student at CIM studying with Dr. Daniel Shapiro. She completed her BM at Wheaton College Conservatory with Dr. Daniel Paul Horn, and her MM at the Eastman School of Music studying with Dr. Douglas Humpherys. She has performed several concerts in the Chicago area and has appeared as soloist with the Lake Forest Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra. Mary is fortunate enough to live at the Judson Manor where she plays recitals for residents. In her free time, she loves to read, explore hole-in-the-wall coffee houses, and stroll through the Botanic Gardens. She is grateful for the privilege to study music, and for the opportunities of sharing it with others.
