Brian James Myer is a Master of Music student at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Dean Southern. Mr. Myer has performed as a soloist with the CIM Chamber Orchestra and has appeared with CIM Opera as Count Robinson (Il matrimonio segreto) and Le Marquis de la Force (Dialogues of the Carmelites). Other leading operatic roles include Masetto (Don Giovanni), Papageno (The Magic Flute), Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), and Bob (The Old Maid and the Thief). He has sung in his hometown of Las Vegas for Opera Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society, UNLV Opera Theatre, the UNLV Symphony Orchestra, and the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino and will be appearing with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in Canada in February.
Mr. Myer has studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria and the Franco-American Vocal Academy in France. An active composer, his first choral octavo was recently published by Santa Barbara Music.
