Natasha Ospina holds a Master of Music degree from Baylor University and an Artist Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Recent roles include Sandman and Dew Fairy (Hansel und Gretel) for Opera Cleveland, Mrs. Hayes (Susannah) and Isabelle/Madeline (Face on the Barroom Floor) for Central City Opera. Other roles include Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), The Marschallin (Der Rosenkavalier), Violetta (La traviata), Mimi (La Bohème), Madame Goldentrill (The Impresario), Jenny Lind in the first fully staged production of Libby Larsen’s opera, Barnum’s Bird, Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Elisetta (The Secret Marriage) and Angelica (Suor Angelica). This past summer, she was an apprentice artist with Central City Opera, and performed in Handel’s Rinaldo (Almirena / Sirene). In March, she will perform her first Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte with the Duke Symphony. Ms. Ospina frequently performs in recitals, oratorios, and symphonic works, including a performance with the CIM orchestra at Severance Hall. She is also a regular performer in Opera Cleveland’s education tours.
